Ram Varadarajan is founder and CEO of Prescient Technologies, an enterprise security software start-up.  An entrepreneur for over 25 years, Ram was the founder and CEO of Arcot Systems, provider of a popular software-based two-factor authentication solution, and successfully sold the company to Computer Associates (CA) in 2010.  He subsequently served as SVP and GM at CA, and established both the company’s New Business Innovation unit and its Silicon Valley R&D center.  Prior to founding Arcot, Ram held senior R&D positions at Informix, where he built the first NSA-certified secure RDBMS, and the industry’s fastest (TPC-C) RDBMS.  Ram holds a B.Tech. degree from the Indian Institute of Technology in Mumbai, and an MS in Computer Science from the Louisiana State University.  He serves on the boards of multiple Silicon Valley start-ups, and has also been instrumental in fostering the sport of cricket, having established the New Inning Foundation to support youth cricket in the US.
