Steve joined ONSET in 2006 and focuses on early stage investments in software and mobile technology companies. Steve leverages his startup and enterprise operational experience to guide and support a number of ONSET’s portfolio companies including Adaptive Insights, Arcot Systems (CA Technologies), Buysight (AOL), NetSeer, Placecast, Vidder and Vindicia.

Steve came to ONSET from Microsoft, where he built partnerships with venture capital firms and venture-backed software startups. Prior to Microsoft, he led business development at Mercado Software, an ecommerce search startup later acquired by Omniture. Earlier, as a strategy management consultant at Andersen Consulting (Accenture), Steve advised enterprise software and hardware vendors on new market entries, acquisitions, and licensing structures. Lastly, Steve gained investment management experience via stints at Citibank in London and a public security portfolio management firm.

When he isn’t watching his son play basketball or football, Steve can be found plying the back roads of Silicon Valley on his road bike.

Steve holds BS and MBA degrees, both from Stanford University.
